Domain Name
A domain name is a unique name that identifies your website to the world (i.e.,
www.rgbnetwork.com). Because computers don't speak English, this is the name
that translates back to the literal address that a computer uses to map to your
site on the World Wide Web.
Domain Email
Domain email can be setup in order to give your site a more customized feel.
For instance if your domain name is rgbnetwork.com, you could set up emails
such as yourname@rgbnetwork.com. It gives your site a more structured and professional
taste.
Flash Intro/Splash
Flash is an animation program put out by Macromedia. It enables many of the
smooth animations that you see on the World Wide Web. A flash introduction can
further enhance your site by giving users a richer multimedia experience.
Site Search
A site search is a very useful feature, especial in large corporate style sites.
If a user knows what they want to view but cannot find it in the immediate layout
of the site, they can search for what they desire by using an integrated search
feature. This becomes very user-friendly to your clients.
Form Mail
Form mail is a method of collecting vital feedback from the users that view
your site. It collects data from forms and mails it to a specified email address.
The possibilities are endless, including: site feedback, submission forms, etc.
Member Admin/Login
This feature is great if you have certain pages that are for "office use only."
Such a page might be a calendar of events and appointments at the office. An
administrative login can be granted to those who should have access to these
features.
Cookie Access/Usage
Cookie access comes into play when you would like to remember certain settings
that the user specified while on your site. For instance if the user was getting
information on his local area and entered his zip code, the next time the site
is visited, it will remember this information for a more personalized web experience.
Shopping Cart
The shopping cart is a tool that enables prospective clients to buy merchandise
directly from your site.
Databasing
Databasing is a method of storing information for manipulation/storage in a
website. For instance, if you had multiple files that could be viewed by the
user, you may choose to store those files in a database so that they can be
sorted and filed as the user wishes. Also, databasing is a great way to store
information about transactions and clients.
Sitemapping
Sitemapping is generally a simple document that contains only text links to
every page within the entire site. It is presented in a tree-like format. This
feature is advantageous if a user is hastily trying to find a specific page
in your site or if they happen to become lost and confused.
